Highlands Residential Mortgage was created in 2010 in the midst of uncertainty and rapid change in the mortgage industry. A group of like-minded seasoned veterans came together to create a company with an employee-focused culture. A culture that values its members both personally and professionally and a company built on the idea that the customer comes first! We believe Highlands Residential Mortgage is such a place. Our Mission to value people drives everything we do.

Tripp Cunningham was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. A graduate from the University of Georgia in 2006 he immediately took a job in the mortgage industry in Dallas, TX. Tripp and his wife Meredith moved back to Greensboro in 2010 and now have two boys Henry and Charlie. Growing up and now raising a family in Greensboro has made him a local expert on the neighborhoods and communities around town.

Over the course of his 15 years in the mortgage industry, he has worked in both retail lending and the secondary market in whole loan acquisition, servicing acquisition, and hedging interesting rate risk with some of the leading firms around the country.

The Highlands team has been local to Greensboro since 1990, when Cunningham & Company first opened their doors. Highlands is the same trusted Cunningham & Company Mortgage team, just under a new name. Everything pertaining to your loan is still processed, underwritten and closed in Greensboro. We are the true local mortgage experts in the community.
